Hello brothers and sisters of Local 722.
We Can. We Will. We Must Strive to Achieve.
The year is halfway over, and Local 722 will continue to fight for our members' work rights and ensure everyone is treated fairly. This year, there has been positive movement at both Washington Hospital Center and Children's Hospital, including:
- Hiring Equity
- Market Adjustments
- Grade Changes
- Grievances
Here is some information about the NEW PRESIDENT OF SEIU, APRIL VERRETT. At SEIU's recent convention in Philadelphia, Local 722 had the profound honor of helping SEIU elect its BRAND NEW President and leadership team. We voted for leaders who support SEIU's million members and millions more workers across the country. April Verrett will now lead the SEIU INTERNATIONAL UNION into a new era of worker power!
Local 722 is in high spirits, and we hope the membership joins in welcoming April Verrett, SEIU's first Black woman president, to her new position.
The birthplace of SEIU is Chicago, and April Verrett is also from Chicago. April's young life wasn't easy. Before she was a teenager, she experienced firsthand the effects of structural racism and economic hardship. When her parents passed away at an early age, April's grandmother, a proud SEIU union steward, stepped in to raise her. She taught her the promise of collective power.

A day of fun at the beach: Boardwalk, Carnival, Casino & Shopping
- Bring your own lunch or purchase onsite at different restaurants/grills and venues on the boardwalk.
- Bring your beach chairs and umbrellas.
- Fishermen, bring your poles to fish off the pier.
- Bike rental and jet skis are available at your expense and risk.
Note: No childcare provided. Parents are responsible for their children.
Deposit:
- $20 deposit per person (up to 4 family members), refunded when you get on the bus.
- $20 deposit for guests (NO REFUND).

LOCAL 722 FISHING TRIP
Full Day of Fishing for "Black Bass", "Progies" & "Black Fish"

Where: Montauk, New York
Time: 5:00 am - 12:00 pm
Boat: Fin Chaser Charter Boat
Bus Details:
- The bus will start loading at 8:30 pm on Friday evening, July 5, 2024.
- Departure is promptly at 9:00 pm from 9610 Cedar Hollow Lane, Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20774.
Cost: $155 per person
Includes:
- Transportation
- Fishing boat
- Fishing pole and bait
- Fish cleaning
- Tip for mates on the boat and the bus driver
Additional Information:
- Bring your own cooler (55 QT is big enough) and pack a lunch.
- Seats are open to union members and one guest. Secure your seat by placing a deposit of $100 per person by May 31st. Remaining seats will be open to anyone on a first-come, first-served basis. All payment balances are due by June 21st.
